Who performs the surgeries at Kitties and Kanines?
All surgeries are performed by a licensed veterinarian with the help of registered veterinary technicians and a caring support staff. Our veterinarians have had advance training at Humane Alliance in North Carolina to perform surgeries on state of the art equipment.
Are there any risks?
Spay and neuter surgeries are not high risk surgeries. But, there can be risk with any procedure that involves anesthesia. Our veterinarians require all pets having surgery be in good health, at least two months old, and weigh at least two pounds. It is therefore very important that you be very accurate when filling out your pet’s admission form.
Can I visit the clinic before surgery?
Yes, we welcome you to the clinic during office hours. Our staff will be glad to answer all questions, give you information, and let you see the facility.
How much does it cost?
$50 Dogs (49 lbs. and under)
$70 Dogs (50 lbs. to 99 lbs.)
$80 Dogs (100 lbs. and over)
$10 Additional fee for cryptorchid (per side)
$35 Male cats (neuter)
$35 Female cats (spay)
$10 Additional fee for third trimester pregnancy
All prices include pain medication at the time of surgery. Male dogs will be fitted with an E-collar to wear after surgery.
Proof of rabies vaccination (certificate) within the last year is required. If you do not have proof, your pet will be vaccinated at the time of surgery for an additional cost of $10.

Where is the clinic located?
The clinic is located in the Quarry Shopping Center across from Central Mall. From I540 take the Rogers Avenue exit west, travel to Central Mall, then turn left at the stop light into the Quarry Shopping Center. The clinic is at the back of the center next to the large rock wall.
